We are expanding our team to enhance our technical implementation capabilities to support our client implementations. As a member of the team, you will take responsibility for the technical implementation of Realiti into our Financial Services clients, to act as a single focus point for our clients for all the technical aspects of their implementation and manage the plans to deliver for them. 

The role will require you to have a very good understanding of overall technical concepts and architectures, to be able to talk knowledgeably with Client technical teams regarding capabilities and options for deploying Realiti, working closely with other functions to bring in subject matter experts when required including Client implementation teams, DevOps, Service Management, Technical Support and Engineering to achieve these goals.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Client Technical Implementation

    • Ownership of the technical relationship with Client teams and their stakeholders.
    • Contribute to/run workshops to gather client specific technical implementation requirements and make recommendations e.g. understanding any specific IT policies or restrictions they have, identifying the optimum deployment model etc.
    • Provide best practice guidance to clients on how to deploy the application.
    • Work with Planixs DevOps teams and Client teams to deploy and configure the application on premise with a client to deliver a working system.
    • Discuss connectivity options with Clients to their wider banking infrastructure e.g. message queuing technologies such as IBM MQ, Kafka and user authentication protocols such as SSO, LDAP.
    • Providence guidance on performance optimisation of the application.
    • Conduct high level training of Operational/System Admin end users.
    • Identify and understand new requirements surfaced as part of implementation and support an efficient handover to the Product team for analysis.
    • Be the first port of call for triage technical issues with the Client.
    • Timely and accurate communication of status on project workstreams to implementation lead.
    • Provides suggestions of improvements to Realiti deployment / configuration / operation activities to the development team.


    Deliver / Manage project(s)

    • Ownership of the technical delivery plan of Realiti implementations working closely with Planixs colleagues delivering the functional side.
    • Liaising with delivery teams for estimation and resource allocation to deliver the technical implementation to enable building an overall project plan.
    • Effectively apply Planixs methodology and adherence to project standards.
    • Identify, categorise and escalate delivery risks appropriately to the Planixs team to ensure focus, identification of actions and ultimate resolution.
    • Safeguard Planixs involvement within the implementation.
    • Review deliverables prepared by team to ensure appropriate quality is maintained (for both internal use and before passing to client).
    • Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
    • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.


    Core Skills & Experience

    Technical Understanding

    • Highly experienced in Technical architecture concepts, architecture design patterns, system integration concepts and software deployment approaches.
    • Experience with UNIX operating systems and environments, container technologies, and Kubernetes etc.
    • Good knowledge of High Availability / Business Continuity architecture – able to design and advise on approaches to meeting resilience requirements.
    • Understanding of Security architecture principles and implementation.
    • Excellent conceptual knowledge of common message queueing technologies in the Banking sector e.g. IBM MQ, Kafka, RabbitMQ.
    • Excellent conceptual knowledge of querying databases.
    • Excellent conceptual knowledge of common authentication technologies e.g. SAML, LDAP.
    • Possess general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design
    • Understands systems development methodologies, particularly Agile development.
    • Strong understanding of the typical requirements that need to be met when implementing an Enterprise software solution into a large institution and in particular the needs of live service operation and management including logging and auditing.
    • Experienced in systems implementation and the typical project lifecycle required to implement Enterprise software packages.


    Industry Understanding

    • Ideally has knowledge of the structures, products, systems and processes for cash and liquidity management within a bank.
    • Shows appreciation of typical application and technical architectures used in such organisations.
    • Understands data architectures and types of data used in such organisations.
    • Understands roles and responsibilities of internal IT units within such organisations.
    • Ideally from a technical consulting background (or equivalent) with 7+ years’ experience.
