The annual ranking celebrates the UK’s most innovative firms creating original technology for financial services and payments. Overall, 169 UK FinTech firms were shortlisted for potential inclusion, with the top 50 determined by a combination of reader votes and from an independent judging panel.

Following a 1,700-strong reader vote, an independent judging panel featuring leaders at Tech Nation, Innovate Finance, techUK, the Centre for Digital Banking and Finance and BusinessCloud made choices from the shortlist and placed Planixs as the leader in its category.

BusinessCloud is a media firm that runs a monthly technology publication and hosts events that cover everything from the Internet of Things and Big Data to AI and Digital Transformation. Each year the publication ranks the most pioneering and forward-thinking FinTech firms across the UK.

The accolade follows a successful period for the real-time software provider – from being awarded the number one FinTech of the Year (RegTech category) in the both the UK and European FinTech Awards 2022, to adding its customer portfolio with a number of new business wins.

Founded in 2011, Planixs works with some of the world’s most prestigious global financial institutions such as Santander, Allied Irish Bank, Deutsche Bank, Scotiabank, SIX Group, Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL), Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW), Lloyds Banking Group, FBN Bank and Zenith Bank, in helping them manage their cash and liquidity and address regulatory challenges.

Realiti provides firms with instant, real-time visibility and insight, allowing them to optimise their cash and liquidity and comply with regulatory requirements. With Realiti, organisations can ensure they meet global regulations including those of the European Banking Authority, UK PRA and US Fed. The solution also incorporates stress testing capabilities, allowing banking firms to apply a range of stress scenarios in order to understand, monitor and prepare to mitigate any intraday liquidity stresses and to help size liquidity buffers.

Neville Roberts, founder and CEO at Planixs said, “It is an honour to be recognised as the leading FinTech in the UK by BusinessCloud for the second year running in our category. We are focused in providing our customers with leading edge, real-time technology to enable the way firms transform their Treasury operations through increased visibility and insight, resulting in improved liquidity management, regulatory compliance and cost reductions.”
