London, Singapore, New York – 24th February 2026 – BIL has gone live with Planixs’ RT1 release that includes TIPS instant payment liquidity control as part of its contract renewal with Planixs, the global leading provider of real-time liquidity management and insights solutions.  The renewal will provide BIL with another 5 years of benefit from the Planixs Realiti software suite.

BIL implemented Planixs’ liquidity software in 2019 to gain real-time liquidity control and insight capabilities and deliver BCBS 248 compliance. Hosted via Realiti Cloud, BIL’s use of Realiti is approved by Luxembourg’s Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) and the European Central Bank (ECB). Initially, BIL rolled out Realiti capabilities for Intraday Liquidity Management, Regulatory Reporting, and Vostro Management to meet BCBS 248 regulatory requirements.  BIL has recently renewed this contract for a further 5 years, demonstrating the value in the solution.

The recently released Planixs RT1 solution suite includes the capabilities required to capture, consume and utilise messages from TIPS (Target Instant Payments System), the European-wide instant payments system.  Planixs is the only provider of real-time liquidity management and insights for TIPS messages which is now mandatory for banks dealing in the Eurozone.

Laurent Wauthier, Productivity & Efficiency Lead at BIL commented, “We are delighted to extend our contract with Planixs and implement the latest Realiti version, including our new ability to monitor and control the bank’s liquidity in TIPS. Realiti’s TIPS capabilities solve a challenge that hundreds of banks across Europe now face. Our experience and relationship with Planixs has been excellent and we are excited to partner with them into the future and continue driving benefits across treasury, risk and operations.”

“We are thrilled that BIL has renewed its contract for our real-time liquidity management and insights solution. Realiti has become the globally preferred solution for intraday liquidity management software and with approval from the CSSF and ECB on AWS, it offers other institutions in Luxembourg and the Eurozone a straightforward way to comply with intraday regulatory requirements,” added Neville Roberts, CEO of Planixs. “The release of our TIPS capabilities is a market first, and we are delighted that BIL is now using this in production.”

Realiti is used globally by financial institutions, including Lloyds Banking Group, NatWest, Santander, Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW), Allied Irish Bank (AIB), SIX Group and Scotiabank, amongst many.

Founded in 1856, Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL) is the oldest bank in Luxembourg, owned by Legend Holdings and the Luxembourg government. BIL operates across retail, private, and corporate banking and financial markets, with over 2,000 employees across Luxembourg, Switzerland, Denmark, the Middle East, and Sweden.

As an ‘Other Systemically Important Institution (OSSI)’ regulated by CSSF and the ECB, BIL demonstrated to regulators that Realiti provides comprehensive intraday liquidity risk management and reporting in compliance with BCBS 248 requirements. Delivered as a hosted solution, Realiti gained approval from both CSSF and the ECB for this hosted setup.
