Planixs, the world’s number one provider of real-time cash, collateral and liquidity management software to banking firms, is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the Silver EcoVadis Medal for 2023 in recognition of its sustainability initiatives, placing the firm in the top 10% in its category.

EcoVadis is the world’s most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. More than 100,000 companies globally have been assessed and rated by EcoVadis, with global supply chains, financial institutions, and public organisations relying on the organisation to help them monitor and improve the sustainability performance of their business and trading partners.

The EcoVadis methodology covers seven management indicators, across 21 sustainability criteria, in four themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. It is based on leading standards, such as Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), and ISO 26000, and is supervised by an international committee. The rating is based on performance by assessing the company’s policies, actions and results, as well as inputs from third-party professionals and external stakeholders.

As a result of its strong performance, Planixs has achieved an overall rating of Silver, putting the company in the top 10% of all companies evaluated in its category. Across all four themes the firm scored above average and achieved a Gold rating for Labor & Human Rights and Ethics – scoring over 70 (out of 100) for each area.

These accolades recognise Planixs’ sustainability policies and its Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) actions and commitments across the organisation. Over the last 2 years, the company has implemented a wide number of initiatives to reduce its carbon footprint, decrease energy consumption, improve efficiencies across its supply chain and increase employee satisfaction. The EcoVadis award will provide Planixs with a foundation to build upon these initiatives and commitments as part of its wider ESG strategy.

“Receiving the Silver status for our first participation in the EcoVadis program is an important step forward and a great recognition of our commitment to sustainability and the efforts we have made so far” says Neville Roberts, Planixs’ CEO. “This score represents another milestone for Planixs as the company continues its sustainable journey.”

Jenny Stockton Pugh, Planixs’ HR Manager, adds: “We are really delighted to have achieved the Silver rating from EcoVadis. This award cements that we are rolling out the right initiatives as part of our ESG strategy. We are now very much looking forward to building on this progress, improving even further and making Planixs a champion in sustainability.”

Founded in 2011, Planixs works with some of the world’s most prestigious global financial institutions such as Santander, Allied Irish Bank, Deutsche Bank, Scotiabank, National Bank of Canada (NBC), SIX Group, Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL), Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) and Lloyds Banking Group in helping them transform their treasury operations through its real-time software, Realiti®.
